Announcements

Due to the busy schedule of the 2025-26 CAIO National Training Camp, the 3rd session of the CAIO AI Scientist Lecture Series will be postponed. We will make an announcement once the new date and time are confirmed.

About CAIO

The Canada Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (CAIO) is the official organizer of Canada’s national AI competition for youth. CAIO was founded by professors in AI-related fields at leading Canadian universities and is dedicated to helping youth across Canada learn and apply AI responsibly while fostering a vibrant youth AI community. It is the ONLY organization in Canada authorized by the International AI Olympiad (IAIO, supported by UNESCO) to select members of the Canadian national team. Open to secondary school and college students across the country, CAIO identifies and prepares the most promising young minds to represent Canada on the global AI stage.

Empowering Future AI Leaders in Canada

Mission and Value

In a time when AI is transforming every part of our lives, we believe the next generation must not be left behind. CAIO is here to bridge the gap, giving high school students across Canada the opportunity to explore, learn, and lead in AI, beyond what classrooms can offer. By building a national community rooted in education, innovation, and ethics, we aim to open doors to a future where every student can find their voice in the age of AI.

CAIO is more than a competition, it’s a national initiative to empower students with the AI knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the future.
